Inspired by a topic on passive income a few weeks ago I had decided to write about how I get free food passively every month and mind you it is good honest to goodness restaurant food
So this is how I get it, a company called " Taste of Joy" offered me free food in exchange for just hanging their banner in front of my house, fair enough. So it's one "bilao" ( a native basket) of "pancit" or noodles that's good for 8 to 10 people or I think 22 pcs of choice cut pork barbecue. I had included a link just so you will have an idea of what I get
btw, if I do not get it for the month then it gets doubled next month and so on, so next time you see a Taste of joy and patronize it remember you are helping feed a poor Filipino family, the picture is mine, btw the steel matting on top of our wall is a relic of the last world war brought by American forces as temporary landing platform or bridges for their tanks and jeeps so might as well thank America too

@Nawsheen don't worry you will, everybody is always given a break once in a while, we will just have to grab the opportunity when we see one

i think we were offered by a fast-food company years ago, but father didn't approve.
so you schedule the free food when you have a special occasion, like birthdays, graduations, reunions, etc?

it depends, sometimes we just decide to have a merienda, sometimes we forget about it and remember it when there is an occasion, remember this is only part 1, I get more free stuff

Sometimes I let several months pass before I get what I am entitled to, I wait for a special occasion like a birthday, wait a minute, what if I don't get it till Christmas

@louievill haha, it is better to collect regularly.
What if the company closes down or sold to other companies?

This is a wonderful way to get bonus food for the month Louievill.
I wish they would do that here, but if they did, even I could not as I live in apartments where they will not let you hang anything outside.

wish they would allow it, it's a good way of promoting their product at a very minimal cost and pay with something that they produce and already have while the property owners also get something that they like, you can perhaps share it with the apartment owner

Pinoys call it steel matting, from the last World War, I placed it there because it's unique and nostalgic, reminds me of our Manila home, it also gives added height to our wall which is already 8 ft high. Free food good!

@louievill your wall is already 8 feet high and yet you put those above it? wow, your house is safe from those robbers, thankfully.
free food is really good, and i hope there will be no excess that will be thrown out to the bin

@ridingbet we always finish all our food, once we had so much we gave the "Barangay tanods" or barangay police that watch over the house.
Our wall is made from 6" jackbuilt that is resistant even to small arms automatic fire, we made it strong because we are in the main road incase somebody loses brakes.

@velvet53 yeah they have spotters that look for good locations. I usually pass getting it monthly so it accumulates and get it when there is a special occasion like a birthday, there are 2 other companies who placed banners so it helps me a lot to enjoy thinking I got something not doing anything, it's my kids who enjoy them the most.

That is " abuso na" ( Filipino phrase for abusing or taking advantage in a sort of funny way) Seriously they will be the one to approach location owners and give the offer, we cannot demand, if only I would be followed it should be every day

It's in a good location, it's a corner lot., it's the company that make the choice and approaches the owner of the property.

Cool, I love red ribbon cakes and they are a bit more expensive than Goldilocks, I wonder when they will be coming to me so my monthly party is almost complete
