Our choices make who we are today

Lately I've been disappointed with some choices I've made in my life. Not a bad thing, but I feel like I missed some opportunities maybe they could help me these days.
Making choices is not always so easy. You need to have life experience to know the what really worth and what are your needs and priorities so that you do not suffer later with the consequences. And from the consequences, my dear ones, no one escapes.
Every choice implies a renunciation and an acceptance.
Every day we make choices unconsciously (unknowingly), like the clothes we're going to wear, the food we're going to eat, the person we're going to talk to, and so on.
But I believe that the true choice is not in the ways to follow and in the things to be done, but in the ability of dealing with the possible consequences of this.
What about you, are you happy with the choices you've made in life? What would you do if you could go back in time?

I think i took optimum decision with my available resource. We remember the decision we took in past but forget under what circumstances that decision was taken. Not every out come is in our control.Wisdom and foolishness do not lie far apart i believe in otherwise better i had prepared for bank clerk instead of opting for computer science.

You most likely have made conscious choices and this is very good. Better yet when we have the resources available.

Though I made a number of bad choices in life, I would change nothing. The journey brought me to where I am today and even a small change could have altered that course. I am as content as my rather restless spirit allows today.

@danielasilva I have rarely been accused to having "lots of wisdom." I will savor that comment.

@JamesHxstatic Wow...Lots of wisdom on your part. We really adapt to a few choices, which makes it possible for us to reflect and end up accepting them. This question of good or bad goes according to the experiences

What I feel is that there isn't any good or bad decisions in life.. any choice you make will take you to some path.. if you like that path, you'll be grateful and if you don't.. you'll just regret it and think about it over and over again but you can always get out of it..

@Slayqueen Exactly, I commented about it too. Only through experience will we know if the choice was good or bad

This is true! Time is precious even to make our choices. Of course, by planning our choices in advance, we will reap good fruits

So far I never planned anything in life. But that's a strategy nowadays, key for a successful life. I never expect anything from life. Whatever good and bad I've seen from life is all outcome of my actions. So no regrets. I believe in not hurting anyone and live and let live philosophy. If I could go back in time, I would have stopped my mothers marriage at an early age of 14

@stapllotik Good thinking! Actually for every effect there was a cause before and if everything depends on our actions, we also have a chance to intervene. In the case of your mother, I think it was only her choice.

Honestly, I am disappointed of my own decision too. I made the wrong choice in subject I took during secondary school. I wanted to be a baker but I took Science, not related at all. In the end, I became a homemaker, not my choice either

@peachpurple But you can still be anything you want. While there is life there is hope, and the life always gives a second chance
