I took pictures with the giant statues and was puzzled where it is and how important it is for Egypt. Finally last month, I saw with my own eyes it is a state of temples, well preserved by the government for tourism. How I was shocked by the ambition of the kings and the level of architecture about four thousand years ago.

They believed in the god of sun, and admired the nature. They worshiped the god, wishing for inpowerment and support. And it is still a puzzle how the ancient Egyptians can work such wonders, from pyramids to the temples.

My niece and her family live in Luxor. We have visited about three times since she married there in 1998. It is a fascinating place.
