cat in heat

my sister is going to get her cat fixed until that time how to calm the cat down where she doesn't mewo so much its loud and its the cat call of love. any suggestion?

It is similar to when a human woman has her monthly period @lady1993 . The hormone levels change in the body. So if a woman gets 'bi*chy', a cat or dog can do the same thing.

Once a cat goes into heat, there is no calming affect @happy1305 . A cat can go into heat every 2 weeks and it can last up to 7 days. The only solution is to get the cat fixed.
