The first line of the poem "Desiderata" recognizes the "noise" and "haste" in our life. However, despite the noise and haste we are reminded to "go placidly". Placidly comes from the latin word "placidus", meaning peaceful. While "haste" is the act of hurrying in a careless manner. The word "go" is to move to or proceed or from a place". Almost everyone knows the meaning of the word "noise". What is the "go" or direction of your life? What are the "noise" or "noises" in your life? Are you in a "haste" with your life? Are you going "placidly" with your life despite the "noise" and "haste"? Source:

Every negative energy to me is noise. In life i am always looking for propellers not anchors.

I don't do anything in a hurry. Being in a hurry to me means I'm going to lose my way and end up making some wrong decisions about the direction I need to go. I'm very careful, and I leave enough time to get where I'm going without being in a hurry or late getting there. The only noise going on in my head are songs of praise to my Lord and Savior. He keeps me calm even in the midst of the storm.
