Well its been not a good day for me to switch on the PC just because there is severe power cut in our area for the last 20 hours or so. The power seems to be unstable every now and then. I don't know what's the exact reason behind this, anyway its affecting me in many ways. Yesterday there was a heavy rain in the afternoon and then onward the power just keeps getting fluctuated. Hope there are no such issues at your area fellow mylotters.

@Nawsheen If that's the case it was not a problem, but here when a slight rain or wind happens to occur, the power is gone.

@vin12345 can't you make a petition and force the government to look into the matter. If you something very urgent to do and you have no power this can be tricky

A power supply that fluctuates isn't good for computers. I hope it's fixed soon.

I don't really wonder to know about this situation in your place. In fact this is the curse in Kerala where there is a strong wind or rain happens then power get vanished and no one can predict when it is restored. It may be due to the fall of tress or any damage of transformer etc. I often felt annoyed with the power problem in Kerala especially during the rainy season.

@vin12345 You won't get them on line but you have to go yourself in search of the local lineman for repairing if there is any fault. Of course you have to pay him separately for his service.

@Sreekala yes, even if there is no problem in our line we still have to pay them for their visit.

In our area or country actually, when it gets to the winter months, the power company tends to cut of the power every now and then. It's really frustrating since it happens just as it gets dark. We then have to cook our food on a gas stove with a candle. We call it loadshedding.
