Thunder

I heard thunder yesterday. It was about 7:30 at night. Not quite dark yet, but dark enough to know that night was about here. It was raining pretty hard and I was sitting on the porch listening to the sound of the rain hit everything. And then a crack in the sky made me jump. I've always hated thunder. It's way too loud for my pleasure. I about cried as soon as I heard the first small crack, only because it gradually got louder, as if it were yelling at me. I'm almost 20 and I've yet to find a way to cope with thunder besides hide and wait. Sometimes, I feel like a scaredy cat, but I can't help it.
