Was watching a movie one time and there had been a break in at someone's home. The police were asking about it and a little boy was a witness. He told the police: "They took his Benjamins." The thieves had stolen a bag of money containing several hundred dollar bills. His dad always called the money "his Benjamins".
Which leads me to ask this question:
What does $100 buy you in your country?
I'm in Texas USA. For me and my husband, it's grocery for 2 weeks, purchased at my local grocery store, H-E-B and/or Walmart.
In The Bahamas, it will buy: "10 gallons of milk, 20 gallons of gas or about 14 combo meals from McDonald’s."

I don't have an IRA account with money to invest in real estate.
I'm wondering if I can make $100 grow using foreign exchange methods.
Anybody familiar with how to make money grow via foreign exchange methods?

First time I went overseas was to The Bahamas. When I came back home I noticed that I had some Bahamian money still in my purse. I didn't know what the exchange rate was and I didn't care. I just knew that I had to exchange the money because you can't use Bahamian currency in the US. Isn't it strange? I could use American money in The Bahamas. They were both considered the same. But when I got back to America I had to get rid of that Bahamian money. When I went to Mexico it was on "official government business" but we used credit cards for purchases, not currency.

@cmoneyspinner Northern Ireland is part of Great Britain but they have their own currency. We couldn't use the coin in GB but we could use the notes. Very strange rules.

@JudyEv - Wasn't the Euro dollar supposed to make the currency system all simple? Excuse my ignorance. It's what I heard.
