What is that 'One Thing' That You Dislike About Your Country?

There is one thing I hate about my country Kenya, and it makes me wish I was born somewhere else or there was another system of governance to avoid it at all cost.
I hate Kenyan politics so much that I wish there wasn't a time for elections at all.
In several election years, Kenyan politics have been marred with violence of any sort. From male oriented politics to violence against female politicians, from threats to actual attempted murders and all kinds of evil related to politics.
Politics also gets more nasty when all political parties are ethnicly inclined to favor a certain region or regions while others are taken over by other leaders from other parties. This division is the worst since at the long run, it creates enmity in people and violence seems to be the by product such.
Kenyans are peaceful people, that is right! But sometimes we don't see the reality or why politicians wants us into tribal cocoon. Politicians always win because they make sure we never realize the power of togetherness. At the end, Kenyan politics is forever unpredictable--- one never know if elections will be peaceful or painful to all of us.
That is why I wish there was another system of governance or no politics at all.
I hate politics and I hate evil...
Now, what is it that you wish your country never had for better?

I'm a Chinese ,I love my country . Though some government officials are corruptive , the leaders are taking effective measures to fight against that phenomenon. Economy of my country is growing rapidly, people have massive opportunities to make money and get better developments. As to young people, we have opportunities and support from our government to start business. Our country is the most safe country in the world, and we have several megacities that equal to Tokoy,New York, and Paris. Our country is rising, we are full of hope.

Great, you guys are all over the world. Chinese companies are building massive projects in my country, builing roads, railway lines and other stuff. Well, that is good.. any caring government could take care of its people, not the other way round.
Talking of corruption, this vice is in every country... each nation is battling to have clean government and people in power. Something we are ranking poorly since even the current president admitted that he has no powers to curb the menace... Damn!

I'm sorry to say this to you but every where you go to there will be things you like and hate.
So just be happy for where you were born and make your country a better one.
As for me, I hate alot about my country. It's not the country itself but more to do with its people. And I haven't done anything for my country yet apart from being a better person so no one can look at me and bad mouth about my country.

You may be right but looking at the way things are in my country, bad politics is to blame for the mess... It wasn't like this before and don't see it changing into something better this coming days. I try to convince people to see the reality but it is not easy since majority of Kenyans are easily led to do wrong than how it is to do right.

Our lack of respect for other people. I hate the way we walk around pretending that our way is the only way and disrespect other people for thinking and feeling the way the feel. It is a sad time for our country but honestly I think the only way for our country to work is for us to be segregated then most people wouldn't be exposed to how other people live and if they didn't have to see it or hear it they could just walk around with their blinders on like it doesn't exist.
