my gecko escaped his tank !

So, earlier that evening I was cleaning out my leopard geckos tank, changing their water and adding some new furniture I bought them. I accidentally left the lid of the tank slightly open (it's a sliding lid). I have a low bed and the tank is about 2 feet away on a wooden trunk. So it's time for bed, around midnight. I am laying on my bed sleeping when I feel something crawling my head. I swatted at whatever I though it was at the time and quickly turned on my light. I look to where I was laying to find my gecko on the bed looking up at me. Not only did this little guy brave a 3 foot climb down the light wire on the tank, but he managed to climb up my cover and onto my head. I'm just glad he came to me and did not wander off somewhere and got hurt.

@Yasmeena Oh boy..what a pet to have.. I might just flee when I see one of your geckos.. but most people have dog or cat but you have unique choice of friends.. i hope they're always doing well and healthy..

I have 2 leopard geckos, I'm looking to get another 2. and I have 2 bearded dragons as well. reptiles can be scary, I find the smaller they are the more scary honestly. Like Anoles, they're small and fast and will catch you off guard. Bigger ones are usually more docile and slower.

I had just put out fresh worms for him and my other gecko, so he wasn't hungry (well he is a greedy little thing, so I'll say he was well fed lol) . They're just more active at night so he I imagine he was just feeling adventures lol. but yes I am very happy he came to me. This isn't the first time he pulled a Houdini act
