I'm glad the knife wasn't sharp

It was a nice day for me and decided to make a veggie soup because it's been weeks since I made the last one. While busy cutting carrots I accidentally cut my thumb. I'm glad it wasn't sharp or I could have blood all over the cutting board, it still hurt though. I was thinking of buying a new knife, glad I changed my mind.

You must always be careful when handling a knife. I hope that your thumb is much better. Take care

I agree @Nawsheen didn't think this was going to happen to me. Maybe next time I might need a sharper knife.

Cutting fingers may be part of the kitchen works. However, it get healed quickly. Anyway take care of your fingers while cutting veggies.

Ouch! I can feel my thumb throbbing by just reading that you have cut your thumb, although it didn't penetrate much. Good thing na lang.

I realized that it's my middle finger that's been cut @SIMPLYD yeah I'm glad it didn't penetrate through the skin.

I bought it last year but it's not the best quality @ridingbet well, I guess it's a rusty now because it didn't went through the skin entirely.

@Letranknight2015 if it is rusty, and it cut your skin lightly, i hope you washed that wound and let it bleed. tetanus bacteria is present in rusty objects. that is why i asked if it was risty.

You get used to one knife that is how I am at tleast. This one I have is not too sharp either and I donĀ“t like to sharpen them up. Glad you did not cut yourself too badly.

@Letranknight2015 I use a small black one for that kind of thing. I know if I overdo it it can cut me pretty sharp so I just take it easy. You will find one that suits you and stay with it. I only have one.

Hello @lovinangelsinstead21 I actually tried to sharpen up some of the old knives but still they weren't that sharp to cut a tomato. I must be doing it wrong.

You are so lucky. I have heard of incidents where even the blunt knives had cut off the finger. Apply some ointment and take care of yourself

Sometimes there are benefits to things like that. I know when I am behind a car in traffic that is going slow, I tell myself that maybe there is a reason, like maybe if I would be going faster there would be an accident.

Hello @FayeHazel that is even more dangerous than the knife thing. But I can tell you that going slow and following the car in front of you might bad as well. But yes, going fast is as bad.

That's lucky of you, otherwise your thumb might be cut off from your hands.
