I don't know if you have seen it on the news programs, but a 76 pound baby hippopotamus was born at the Memphis Zoo a few weeks ago. They named her Winnie after choosing from a pool of suggested names.
I am enthralled by this little cutie. She is all personality and very brave (as long as mom is around). I keep following her growth and progress much to my delight (thank you, Internet). She was born underwater and now seems to be happy and healthy.
I know April the baby giraffe was adorable but Winnie has stolen my heart. I just thought I'd share some cuteness overload.

If I were big and fat and grew a horn on my nose, would I steal your heart? Oh, the dumb things that pop into my mind.
I do remember hearing something about this baby hippo being born on the news. Didn't pay much attention to it, though.

There is such a big difference in size which makes it cuter.
