Bought a pair of Skechers Gowalk shoes for mum

How long do the shoes last? I hope that it can last at least 2 years. The shoes are expensive even after 40% discount.

@scheng1 I have had mine for a year now. the pair I wear almost everyday is still holding up. I do need to wash them and I hope they hold up thru a wash... but they are so comfortable and have done amazing things for the pain I used to feel in in my feet knees and hips from sitting all the time.. I love them. I went from 1 pair to 6 pair a couple I have only wore a few times and one pair is still new in the box but I have them for when these finally wear out.

@minx267 That washable part is the part I like best. I have checked with the staff before buying the shoes, and the staff confirms that the shoes are washable. In fact, she has a pair that she wears everyday too. But then, she is working in a shop, so hardly any walking around.

Over here, we have a belief that we cannot buy shoes for other people, so I ask her to pay me a dollar!

Hopefully the shoes last long. It is not cheap even after a deep discount. If the shoes give away after a year, that will be a huge waste of money.

Hope so, even with the discount, it is still expensive. My mum is very fussy about shoes. if she does not like a pair of shoes, she just stops wearing, and she will not want to give away or donate to charity. It sure is a waste of money.

@scheng1 Oh dear, that is a shame.

I have not tried New Balance shoes yet. Do you have a specific model to recommend. My mother is old, though she does not have any knee or foot injury before. She is prone to fall though.

Hope she will like it as she gets used to the shoes.
