You aren't helping yourself by staying in an echo chamber.

Ever since Obama's election, I've noticed a strong trend, especially on the left, to shut out anyone who disagrees with them. People are literally ditching friends and family over political differences. I can't count the number of facebook friends that unfriended me because I refused to believe Obama was the messiah. It's gotten even worse though since Trump's election. Personally, I voted for Gary Johnson because Clinton and Trump were too awful for me to consider voting for either of them. Even so, I've been blamed, and unfriended for refusing to vote for Hillary and objectively looking at Trump's actions, rather than blindly stating that everything he does is horrible, evil, and will plunge us into nuclear war. Since my return to mylot I've made the unfortunate discovery that such behavior is common here now as well. This used to be a good place for people to debate with those who disagreed on issues. Instead, people are now blocking those who disagree with them, turning discussions into echo chambers. Do you surround yourself with people who agree with you all the time? If so, do you ever wonder what you're missing? Are there any actual benefits to shutting out other points of view?

@Taskr36 Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. As they say your opinion is good as mine and no one's goes wrong with an opinion---c'mmon it's mere opinion and will remain an opinion...myLot is not an academic institution nor a court of law to prove or disprove one's view as correct or wrong. I agree with your observation my friend.
