Climb Every Mountain

Many years ago while traveling through Austria, our tour guide told us to look out over the Dolomite Mountains of Austria and Imagine the Von Trapp Family escaping the Nazi's by walking over the mountains . . . It was a imaginary thought of impossibility but recently I have been climbing a few hilltops, in comparison, not for any kind of escape but for pleasure.
Every time I stretch one leg in front of the other with an upward journey, I find myself singing the song from the musical "The Sound of Music" with a sense of accomplishment rather than escape.
Who would have thought that in my older days, I would venture into such physical activities.
This passion to venture started when I was 50, as I stood at the top of the Jungfrau and looked over the glazier; a Majestic sight, it stirred me to become more of an adventurer than I have ever been. I have luckily got to do many of my old fashioned noted "bucket list", now called "LIFE LIST" things and why not, everyday I get closer to a time of death than that from my date of birth.
I aim to Climb every mountain I have in sight and metaphorically that means to DO EVERYTHING I CAN in this short lifetime I have.
What are your views on climbing every mountain?
Hubby took this photo of me while recently walking up a cliff, that took me back to a time I walked the green hills of Ireland. It was a breathtaking walk and a refreshing experience. I might not be any Julie Andrews, but believe me I feel a free as a bird!

Climbing mountains is something I liked to do since I was a very young girl. This was my father's passion and I followed him. We were both more mountain people, while my mother and my brother are lazy beach people. I would never climb without appropriate shoes, there are venomous snakes on our mountains.

The photo does look very English/Irish to me. I haven't ever been there, but it's how I expect Great Britain to look. I love that you call it a life list, not a bucket list. Life list is for as long as you want, the bucket list - well, I always imagine that you tick things off and then kick the bucket. No good at all.
