Starting is of course better, but the topic needs to be really interesting so that you get a good number of replies/comments

starting if you receive many comments. but you need also to post comments, refer other and upload pics. Don't post "yes" or "no" they don't count! Add interesting discussions and not stupid discussions. Not always the same number of posts give you the same earnings. It depends also by theyr quality.

If you are going to continue the discussion and help keep it active by commenting on replies then starting one is better. But if you aren't going to do that you should just do replies.

Hmm... I actually think it's better to start a discussion. An interesting one though. I try to come up with topics that haven't been mentioned before, so I can see what people really have to say. Great topics encourage me to respond -- so I think it all starts with starting a discussion.

if the discussion on that topic exists and is going strong then it would be useless starting a new one on the same topic.start a new one only if there is no discussion on that topic that is active.or else just pust some discussions and reply to others that are already there and always rate them.this will increase your earning in mylot.i have done it.

starting a discussion is better, but it's easier to replying a discussion than starting it

Only if you can find an interesting discussion. You can post anything and get a ton of response because you are gorgeous!
