Unrequited love.

Isn't it one of the most common topic for today's generation? Would you hold to the one you love even if the person doesn't reciprocate? How to get over unrequited love?

Love is an emotion and it is out of control, so you can't stop liking or loving someone unless something happens to lead you there. If it is unrequited, you need to except the truth and move on.

Love has to be a two way street and if it not returned is best to move on and find someone who also loves us.

@Sukanya_taani I have many times. We have the capacity to love many people so there is no need to end our life because someone doesn't love us. We can find someone who will or we can even be happy alone. Life is more than just about love between two people. Many have lived happy lives without ever marrying.

But how to move on? Can one ever get over someone whom they love truly?

One sided love has no meaning. If we love someone and s/he doesn't reciprocate then better let it go.

I do not believe in that. Will it serve any purpose? That is why I suggest to hit the target direct and go back if they are not in favor.

I have and would hold on but only for a while. I would allow time for the love to flourish and if it continued to remain a one way feeling then as hard as it may be, I would have to step aside. It is not easy to get over unrequited love but with time your heart will heal. I will end with my favorite saying, "Everything happens for a reason" and this I truly do believe!

Yeah, maybe, but getting over it is very difficult. Outwardly one may say he or she has got over the person, but only the heart knows what's going on inside

Ranbir Kapoor movies are perfect showcase of unrequitted love. I personally feel it is hard to deal with it since it could be stressful and painful, but one need to overcome the emotional barriers and move on.

You remind yourself of what you are worth.. and also of the fact that not everyone we fall in love with is meant for us...

I understand you---unrequited love isn't a good feelings, emotion or situations to be in. You need to move on, no matter how hard it is---to find somebody out there that's right for you and start to love all over again.
