So i am an IT professional ,getting decent salary but I wanna work my way towards writing .People say I am very expressive and I am an interesting talker but I am not sure If I am that good of a writer.
How do I know if I can make it decent as an online blogger .Should I give it a shot.

Welcome to myLot. A discussion is very much like a conversation and, since myLot is a 'fusion' of writing and discussion about all sorts of things, it is a very good place to practice writing. Personally, I have certainly found that practising writing here (more or less) as I would speak in conversation has improved my style immensely and has made it much more readable.
I would suggest that you start by browsing discussions here (from the options under the 'Explore' menu) and then respond to some of those which interest you. It's a good idea to read through the Community Guidelines (look at "Help" in the menu beneath your username) so that you know what is and is not acceptable here - most things are just plain common sense!
Though many people talk about writing here as 'blogging, in the proper sense of the word a blog is much less about conversation and interaction and much more about just presenting information than taking part in discussions here but, of course, one always hopes that people will want to read one's blog and so it is often a good idea to write in a conversational and accessible way.
