So Often We Want Things Now

In this time and age we want things right now, we want things to happen right this second. It's important to remember that things take time. Over decades it's taken family members years to be able to raise their credit, buy homes, and to gain all the possessions that they have come to obtain. Most young people start out hope to buy things right away. With credit cards, loans, people can bury themselves deep in debit in order to accumulate possessions. I think that it requires a great balance to be able to appreciate the work that it takes and to appreciate the process without sabotaging the future we would like to have.

@Marlina I completely agree with you. I think that over time I have learned to be patient in that regard. I realize that it takes a lot of hard work to be able to buy a home and to maintain the finances to keep the house up as well as with vehicles.

I do agree with you. But, I want things to happen right now. This is where I face failure at times. But, most of the times I prefer to have results immediately. That is why I plan how many things do require time and how many are not and then start working.

@ssivassubrahmanyam I agree with you that is a good thing to plan what we would like done and how we would like to accomplish different goals we have. When we have a plan it is easier for us to be able to see how we can obtain the results we want.

Patience....and learning to be content with the bounty we have. Not always reaching for the next thing to fulfill us.
We learned many years ago how little we could make do with....and how quickly we wants more and more and more.

@morleyhunt Patience truly is the big key. I completely agree with what your saying it is amazing how little we can do with and still be happy and content if we allow ourselves to have the right mindset and not be drawn into this materialistic way of life. So many people want newer, bigger, and better however it is very hard to be able to keep up with that type of lifestyle and leads many into a ton of debt.

@courtneyJ thanks for sharing! It would be awesome if things happened that way but they generally don't.
