Beware of "WANNA CRY"...

May 16, 2017 11:51am CST
It really gonna cry because of the virus called "Wanna Cry", which already attacked the three states of India. My state West Bengal is one of them. Not only India it also attacked more than 104 nations. The USA president has already ordered Techies of USA to investigate the matter and to help the people to come out of that situations. This virus attacked some important Government and private concerns like Banks, Schools, Universities, IT farms etc. Recently because of the virus more than 1,00,000 computers of West Bengal State Electricity distribution ltd has been crippled out. As a result of this all the important functions like payments, billings etc have been locked. A ransom was demanded as $300 to decrypt the encripted files. India is one of the countries which are most affected by this attack according to the data shared by Kaspersky , a Russian antivirus company. According to their initial assumptions, was done soon after the maleware attacked on Friday night that around five per cent of all the computers in India was affected by it. Now may be the statistics become higher. The Government has ordered to close all the bank branches and ATM for two days that is Tuesday and Wednesday. It is now a huge concern for all the technologists and internet users. According to the IT experts the standalone computers connected with Internet are most vulnerable for the attack. Where our leaders are appealing to us to use the digitized products and launched such schemes like Digital India, Digitized Banking etc., my question is that "Are we safe under this protocols ??" I think most of the friends here will agree with me.

Dear friend, We are always showing an inclination towards some negative issues... We are already started in questioning the matter are we safe in digitization?? Well briefly tranpiring my view First of all this insidious attack has taken place over 130 countries incliding us and Denmark. Data showing that only 2 % of our total transaction took place through online (in case of Denmark and US the percentage is 55 and 45 respectively) ,now my question is that staying on that situation if those countries are not going to adopt older approach so why we?? Every thing has some positive as well as negative features. Where positive takes the frontier seat then we should go with that . Here the same case arises in India. So rescinding modernization and go with the stereotyped methods would be a transient remedy .. We have to find out a permanent solution by facing the situation and government is putting its utmost effort to resolve the matter

I am saying for all the countries, facing this problems... It's good to use technology but for bigger approach we need to make a border to how much extent we can use it... By the way I am not against the modernisation but against the incessant and unplanned use of technology.

What are the ways you could protect your computer from this type of virus?
