I recently wrote a discussion about whether a Actor or Musician's political opinion would change whether you still liked them as an Entertainer.
This also brought to mind how people seem to be more upset by a political opinion then something else in there bacgkround, link to my previous post at the bottom of this one.
Now i will be writing about several different Actor's and Musician's whom have been accused of commiting horrible crimes.
Mark Wahlberg as a young teenager before hitting it big as Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch spent 45 days in prison.
Mark, was in a gang from the age of 14, and had been in and out of trouble with the law over 20 times, it was when he was 16 that he attacked two viatnamese men with a large wooden stick in a racially motivated attack that he would serve time in prison.
Wahlberg was arrested and initially charged with attempted murder, but it was later reduced to criminal contempt.
Mark would quit his gang, and meet with a prison parish priest whom would help in turning his life around.
It was his brother Donnie Wahlberg who was already famous as a member of New Kids On The Block whom helped his brother form Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, and from there the rest was history.
Mark Wahlberg is now one of the most sucessful, and sought after actors in Hollywood. No one ever mentions his history of being in gang, or how he was involved in racially motivated assault whom if police had not showed up may have been even worse.
Information gathered from several websites including wikipedia, and http://www.todayifoundout.com
Recently i have seen where many people are blaming the cancellation of Tim Allen's show Last Man Standing to because of his Political opinion. To me this is...

I just learned tonight that his hamburger restaurant (Wahlburgers!) is opening up not far from here. I think it's a chain, but I never heard of it before tonight!

@chrissbergstrom WOW! That's a bigger family than I ever had!
Looks like it's an older brother who started up the restaurant, plus there's a reality show connected to it.
Wahlburgers follows the Wahlbergs in the city that witnessed their rags-to-riches story as they plan to make their restaurant a success in Boston and beyond.

Many celebs had a hard start, poor, etc. I think it adds to their ability to bring better characters to the screen.

It seems that anyone with the means to buy judges and prosecutors they can get off. Presidents should have been I peaches but never were. An ordinary person would be under the prison.

Well this did happen before Mark Wahlberg was famous to be fair, but you are right many celebrities do to get away with awful things because they can afford to.

I remember back when Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg was a thug. If I recall correctly he had a bad boy reputation (along with his brother Donnie) back in the early/mid '90s. I don't know when he became an actor suitable for family films. Of course, he seems to have turned his life around, and I guess we can't judge people by their behavior as teenagers. It's funny how someone can go from being a "bad boy" to being cast in Disney films, though.

He is a great actor and yes I never think about something he was convicted of as a teen as having to do with his movies now, he obviously grew up to be a better man.

It seems like Wahlberg realized and regretted his errant ways and actions. He has used his celebrity for charity. Celebrities are just people whom we have to judge on an individual basis.

Yes seems like he really overcame alot of his struggles as a youth, he deffinitley is one of those good stories he really turned his life around, i was reading some about his family to, sounds like one of his sisters has had a very very long criminal history so its nice he did not get wrapped into that life.
