There are some books I ewread when I´m ill or when it is very cold and I get up from bed late. When I was a girl, and then as a comfort food for a rainy day, I reread Anne of Green Gables, Little Women and the Little House books. Yesterday I found out that one of the books of my childhood, Anne of Green Gables, was a serial at Netflix with the name of Anne with an E. So here I am, watching and remembering my childhood. And, as it is a movie, learning about the landscape whe ny heroine lived over a century ago. Have you read the book? I specially ask you, canadians.

After rereading them as am adult, I discovered that they helped learn about a part of the UD history.

I have read all the books and visited the home of Anne of Green Gables. I also visited the home of the author L.M. Montgomery. When we were in grade five our teacher took the entire class on a weekend trip to PEI. We had read the books through the school year and then went to visit at the end of the year. It was so interesting and fun.

No, did not have the chance either really. I have seen that Series though Anne with an E which she was in the habit of spelling out to everyone who said it wrong. Ann Shirley was the other favourite phrase I was always hearing when she got herself into hot water. Great Series and I would gladly watch it again though we do not have Netflix here.

I have always loved Anne of Green Gables. I really enjoyed the Kevin Sullivan adaptations that starred Megan Follows (Reign) as Anne. But the new series is also tremendously good. I can't wait for the next season!

Though not a Canadian, I think those books taught me to apreciate the nature around. Anne was so full of life. I have read the rest of the books , right upto Rilla of Inglside. Seems lots of people ask about Prince Edward Island and it is not even a real place.. Enjoy.
