Stereogram images did you see the hidden object

Do you remember those Stereogram images the ones where you looked at a spot in the middle of the picture and stared ?
It was said that if you relaxed your eyes and tried to stare through the spot in the middle of the picture and stared and stared some more a hidden image would appear well tonight I was given some to look at and Nope it still does not work for me.
If you have tried them, did you see any objects appear?
If so how long did it take for you to see them?

I'm usually better at finding hidden images if I don't know I'm looking for them. Then, for some reason, they seem to jump right out at me. But if you tell me to look for a hidden picture, I can stare at it for hours and not see the hidden image. I would call it a case of "trying too hard."
