My boss called me when will I join office.

As you all may be knowing that I am on leave since last 5 days due to health issue which I already informed to my immediate boss. I went to office on Thursday but as was not feeling good so came back to home from there. And today to my surprise my boss called me and said if I may be able to join office today . I was shocked as he knew how bad I am and how can I join the office as I am still not recovered. I told him that I may not be able to come for next 3-4 days as well. But after he put down the phone I was thinking how professional he is as he didn't ask about my health but asked if I am coming office or not. How mean he is? Do you have such boss or good boss?

I don't know anything of bosses yet. But my dad also faces such situations. He is bank manager and he barely gets holidays, even on Sundays he has to work to fill up the ATMs.. last month he got really sick but still he couldn't get a leave to rest.

I have a very inconsiderate boss who does not care the least for the welfare of his employees. He just wants us to achieve our targets and does not take anything into consideration.

Yes same with my boss too. Bosses are so mean. They are concerned only about their work and nothing else. After all they also have to meet their deadlines

It means you are a good beneficial employee of his office n it feels hard for him to hear of your absence to that much long. Btw all bosses are work oriented far than emotional to employees feelings n trouble.

Yes I am important for him that's why he can't afford me to take leave for so long. Yes most of the bosses are like this they are not concerned with the emotions of their subordinates.
