How many of you still live in the city or country or town where you grew up?

I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and when I was a child we lived in an area that was special until the riots came and then my parents like others went to the suburbs. I discovered how much I liked to travel so did that. I saw alot of the US and also went to two places in Canada. In 1985 after I knew the last job I had there finished I would go live in Israel. I decided to visit Israel. I know visiting and living are two different things, but, I thought it was time I lived in the Jewish State. In November 1986 on a cold rainy windy day I moved to Israel.

@Hannihar I was born in Sydney in 1991 but we moved here to Perth when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I haven't travelled much at all. Only been here and Sydney. I've travelled a little bit around Western Australia but I hope to one day travel overseas.

@Hannihar I like Perth very much. Lots to do and see. And I would love too whenever I have enough money. I'm wanting to save enough money to visit my best friend in Texas, then my best friend in India ( she's here on MyLot ) and then to see you would be great!

That was good that you found your chosen home, different than forced to live somewhere. I hope all is good there for you. There was a time when I nearly moved permanently to my Mothers land of birth tho I was born USA. Sadly things did not stay that way. I had traveled a lot in life and feel fortunate. I do no longer live in the same town I grew up in.

I have left the place some 30 years back. I do not have any plans of visiting now. Earlier I was visiting to see my sister and brother-in-law. But, they are totally changing after becoming rich. So stopped going there even.

@shivamani10 I can understand why you do not want to visit now. I only went back twice to where I was born and was very very happy to leave and not go back again.
