I said no negative anything yesterday so I did not write about this, since its Monday and I am letting things go I will talk about it. For weeks I have tried my best to get the new dogs area fixed, but due to extreme heat or rain that has not happened, so Harley is on a lead and had plenty of room to roam his area and can get into the dog house. After the rain I heard Harley barking and barking and carrying on, so I go outside and he is not in that part of the yard, Roscoe come to me and I asked him " Where is Harley?" and Roscoe runs under the canopy of wet bushes to the fence. I go over and he has pulled up the twist things that goes in the ground, he went through the fence and was tangled a million ways around the brush on the other side of the fence. I came back inside the house and changed clothes, long sleeves and sweats because I see the poison ivy everywhere! I tell Roscoe go sit with Harley till I get back. Tony drives me around to the main road so I can cross the field and cut the dog out. I get him on a leash, while Roscoe watched from inside the fence, and walk him back home because he was all in the ivy, we go straight to the water hose and he gets a good scrub down. I put the lead back into the ground and leave him. I remove the clothes at the back door and put them in the washing machine. Get on my good clothes and leave to go grocery shopping. As I get down the road, even with the back of my place, but a field away Tony said " Look coming yonder!" And there was Harley walking around like no body`s business! I cuss and said " let him go! when he gets hungry he will come home or be dead one." Tony said " we can put him in the car, you just bathed him." I turn around and there he is in the road. I stop and he walks over with his head down. Tony picked him up and put him on the floor between his legs. Know what? He still stunk like the old hound he is! Tony told Harley " Cant wash off your stink." While Harley stared at me all the way home. I tied him to a tree and left. Today he is still on the lead but I can say I bet he tried to run around again.

Weather tends to interfere with many of the things we need to do. I have poison ivy all in my yard. Any suggestions on dealing with it?

Mix one gallon vinegar, 2 cups of table salt and a squirt of dawn dish washing liquid, spray and kills. Do this when its dry. DO NOT spray this where there are flowers, kills it ALL. I have mine setting ready to be mixed but I have not made time to spray it, now the rain is here for a week.

It is so annoying when you do things for their own good but they keep thwarting you.

Vinegar works nicely for ivy poison. Why don't you try it?

You do care for your pets. Don't you. Don't forget to give him a hug after the stink disappears
