We steer where we stare

I read this quote in a book and it stayed with me. It said "We steer where we stare" Have you ever done that? Your busy looking at something on the side of the road and when you look back at the road you realize you are headed off the road onto the grass?
The same thing is true in your walk with God. If you keep staring at God, his ways and trying to honor him you will continue to stay close to him.
If you choose to stare at wordy things then that is the direction you will head.
Such a small quote, not many words but it has such a big impact!

Interesting thought to ponder, and can be so true. When we turn our eyes on our problems and away from God things can get cloudy, and the world is a harder place to live in.
