I'm curious to know some other moms' stories. How did you find out you were pregnant, what were your symptoms like throughout, how did delivery go, and how is your little one doing now? Our own beautiful baby girl is almost eight months now.

She is so precious! Getting baby fever over here. My pregnancy started out nicely. Then I hit 3 months and was barfing non stop until 7 months. When I was 9 months I was told I'd be induced on the friday after my birthday but then they took blood and saw my platelets were too low so I was induced on Wednesday the day before my birthday and gave birth the morning of my birthday. My son is fine and developing well. he will be 4 this year. I want to have one more but my husband refuses. I hate for my son to grow up an only child with only dogs to socialize with. Though now that he has been bitten twice in the face by dogs he doesn't even have them to be with. I now have to scour around to see if i can find more play groups to put him in so he can socialize with kids his age.

I was in labor one and a half hours with my first child and 45 minutes with the second. Good thing I didn't have a third child, I probably would have had it on the way to the hospital!

I lucked out. I think all told it was about... eight, nine hours from the first contraction to birth? About ten or fifteen minutes of pushing.

It's not so bad, usually. Most women have only mildly uncomfortable pregnancies. But it *is* quite a bit of work and effort involved in maintaining your body and health, understanding your symptoms, figuring out what works to relieve what symptom. Not to mention making plans for when baby is here--gotta get a crib and a carseat and clothes and bottles and all that fun stuff in place. Do you chart your cycle? Fertility awareness is actually really helpful when it comes to either preventing pregnancy or family planning. You learn a lot about your own body. (Me for example, I will get really emotional and weepy at certain regular times of the month, and it wasn't until I started charting that I realized it coincided directly with my cycle.)

I was very sore and sick all the time. And I officially knew when I could not handle the smell of this can of salmon my ex's friend opened up. I had to sit in the doorway so I didn't have to smell it. But I was malnourished, not able to get to the store because of being too sick and my ex would not give me money to even go to the store, and I had a miscarriage 2 months in. Your daughter is so precious!

@RedLilyBlossom Life happens, someone will be able to take care of that baby's soul better than my ex and I could have. It also helped me be able to actually leave him. It took a few months to get over, but like I said, life happens.

I had a very bad nausea in both my pregnencies. But fortunately I didnt had to go for c-section in any of my babies.

I was about 50% certain I was gonna wind up having to do a C-section, because of how small I am. But active labor happened very quickly for me. Maybe about ten to fifteen minutes of pushing. Doctor didn't even make it into the room in time, the nurses caught the baby. :)

Okay I guess. Kind of stressed due to a multitude of things that have been piling up. Thought I'd try to cheer up by starting a discussion on babies.

Congratulations on your little one! My pregnancies were quite a while ago so some details are hard to remember now... I guess each time I suspected that I was pregnant when my periods were late. My periods had always been very regular.

Mine have always been a little irregular. Major life changes and stress seem to really affect them too. So we had a couple times where I was seemingly late but wound up not being pregnant.
