Bad Day Car Trouble

What a day and it isn't over yet. First we went to set up my better halfs appointments for therapy and noticed the car was vibrating. Then the oil light came on. He looked at the tire and it appeared to be all right. After getting his appointments arranged we stopped at a place to have the oil checked, and had the tire looked at.
The long and short was we need a repair for the oil leakage and a new tire. The repair place is near our apt. A driver brought us home and we're waiting for the job to be finished. I know it will cost a pretty penny.

@RubyHawk .....Yeah, that's where I was. I had a 1991 Subaru. Nice little car. I kept it up really well. But one day I went out(two springs ago now) and there was a shimmying when I drove it for the first time after a winter of not driving. I knew what it was and that it would be expensive. I just didn't have the money and the strength to whime to my wonderful mechanic and get him to let me pay the bill in a couple of payments. I had used him for years but, like he told me, he had to pay his bills too. I got it . He had been so kind to me , a single mom, so many times. So decided I would not drive any more. Didn't need to the stress and had other things I needed to do with my SSD.

the floor of our garage had some marks of oil spill. that is fixed now, and i always remember what the man in the repair shop told me: always check the oil so the engine won't 'die down'.

@RubyHawk yes, but the repairing took less than a week to be fixed.

@ridingbet You were lucky to get it repaired the same day. We usually have to wait but not always.

@Courtlynn We have some buses but not always where and when you need to go. Never the time and place for us.

When you are in hurry, something unusual happens usually. And it is irritating.

@RubyHawk Yes. Nothing is perfect. What we can do is to make things nearly perfect.

That is an irritating thing to happen and I hope it doesn't cost as much as you think. Be sure that your tires are all balanced before they put the new one on! I used to work in a tire shop and a tire that's not properly balanced can ruin the other 3. Also make sure they are properly aligned. Good luck!
