In Christianity, we have those who pray to Jesus as God and those who pray to God through the name of Jesus Christ. You see the difference?
Well, Jesus himself prayed to God and he was so prayerful because he knew he had a connection to an Almighty God who listens to prayers. He even taught his disciples how to pray... and he never told them to worship him as God (Not even to direct their prayers to him, but only through his name)
In my point of view, 'Through his name' is like a post office when sending a letter addressed to someone else. Or writing a text on the mobile phone and sending it on his or her cellphone number--- obviously it will reach the intended person. You do not expect the cellphone to be the final recipient, do you?
Now let's see how a Sunday is a special day
According to our Bible, God rested on Sunday after creative everything on earth in a period of six days. However, we never know which day was really a Sunday, right?
Let's visit another word that might bring in more meaning to this Sunday thingy. Do you know what the word 'Amen'signify?
This word is adapted as the voice of acceptance. It means 'let it be like it is.' Great huh!
Sunday was made special in Christians' lifestyle by a word of acceptance. God loves orderliness and that is why, I think, He blessed the day from there on.
Anyway, that is my point of view and might not be truthful to other people.
