A Few Reasons Why I am Crazy this Week!

There has been good and bad in my week. I will give you the bad first.
I had a tick on my neck!
My grandson broke his pinky during a goalie lesson. Thanks Coach, for being wild with a skinny 7 year old. At least my grandson thinks it's cool to have a splint from a sport's injury and is the hit of first grade.
I chipped my front tooth somehow in Florida and had it repaired yesterday.
Today I went for lab tests for my physical next week. No ouches, but I don't like getting needles.
Now for some good news, which outweighs the bad.
My ice princess passed her U.S. Figure Skating Free Test Judging Test.
Her mommy made the 12 Best New York City Doulas/Expertise list.
My future daughter in law had a newspaper write up, and was filmed live on stage in 2017 Moments and Minutes Festival which she runs.
I'm hosting a Memorial Day Weekend dinner for my children and grandchildren.
It's been a crazy week, but all is well. How has your week been?

Quiet compared to yours lol. My brother had a tick on his neck as well, he is hoping it wasn't a deer tick. I have spent a lot of time at the nursing home, picked up Jack from school and dropped his off to his mom who was getting a mammogram. Then had dinner with my brothers who are both here for my mom at least for that one day. I have just been feeling tired this week, very tired and I can't seem to sleep the tired away, My daughter is hosting the Memorial Day picnic which is also a birthday party for me and 3 of the grandkids.

I had a crazy week also! Short staffed at work, and the "new" guy (who has been there 6 months but it still clueless, ugh!) isn't very helpful so I've mostly been solo...
Congrats to your granddaughter.. and poor baby to your grandson!

@DianneN Ugh I know.. it's just so frustrating, at this point he should be a lot better than he is. I mean he's not just a slow learner, he's a non-learner! And I work in a fast paced environment.. the two just don't mix!

@katsmeow1213 I supervised students teachers as On of my professor jobs. I had a student that was so clueless, even after getting advice and suggestions from his master teacher and me, that I had to fail him. I felt badly, but I asked myself if I would want him teaching my own sons. NO! Not everyone is cut out for certain jobs, no matter how good they may think they are.

@TiarasOceanView You're welcome. She can do anything. She is a lawyer, a certified scuba diving teacher, a dog trainer, a writer, a teacher, etc. and a huge volunteer.

Thank you. I chipped my tooth in Florida and waited until I got home to have it looked at when I went for my scheduled cleaning. I had to wait one month after that! I hope you don't have any pain and can get your tooth repaired quickly. Sounds like your car repair was expensive.

@RubyHawk I'm done. It was a breeze, but I couldn't imagine how they'd be able to fix my tooth without it looking like a giant horse tooth. lol. They know their stuff! They wanted me to whiten my teeth for two weeks and stop for two weeks before they bonded it. That's why it took so long.
Glad the repair wasn't horrendous for you. Perhaps you can get your tooth fixed before trouble begins.

Sounds like a mixed bag your week..mine was about average I think except for the rain which is annoying. On the bright side..it keeps the temps down..and my electric bill is way below average...woohoo for that!

@DianneN Yeah my elec has been pretty low recently because I have been running neither heat nor AC. I haven;t even needed the ceiling fans that often so that is happy!!!

Wow, lots of things happened in your family. I don't really have anything to talk about. Maybe I should be happy about that.

Well that's some great news that does outweigh the bad!
Well hope your grandson's pinky gets better . . . being "cool" at school will definitely make the healing time much more pleasant . What happened with that tick? I hope he just fell off and ran away!!

It does sound a bit hectic there! Do you know where the tick found you? We were in (and live in) the woods, so had two last week. Never appreciated, that's for sure @DianneN

@DianneN We check the pets daily, but forget to look at ourselves! Just read about using a lint roller to clean our clothes when we leave the yard/woods.

Ouch to the tick and the broken pinky. I hope the tick wasn't hard to get out. Ouch to the broken front tooth, I'm glad it's repaired.
It must have been labs day yesterday. @CRK109 and I both had them as well. My doctor's appointment is also next week - though not a physical. He needs to see me because it's time to update my meds. I also hate needles. Ouch!
Great news for your Ice Princess, your daughter, and soon to be daughter-in-law.
Have a great weekend with your family. Sounds like it's going to be lots of fun.

Many thanks. It seems that the females in our family have had quite a good year. My older son has to be at his inlaws this weekend. Saturday is the best day for a cookout, so my younger son and his fiancée will come. Next weekend, I will have them all! Enjoy your weekend, too.

You've had a crazy week for sure. I would not want to come face to face with a tick...

@lovebuglena I walk the cat around our wooded yard 5 times a day. Lol! Now I'm using tick spray, but can't on the cat. I run my fingers through his fluff before he comes inside. The poor boy had one embedded over his eye. Thank goodness my son saw it and removed it last week.

Did you get the tick out of your neck?
That is really something nasty to have.
Hope you are okay now and the good news is certainly much better than the bad of course.
Take care now.

How awful for you poor thing.
You can get them here too so I am always careful not to go out late or early in the morning into the fields around here.
Mosquitoes are bad enough.
Big hugs to you.
