From PH to US

I can't believe how time flies by so fast. I was just a "teeny weeny" when I joined here in mylot and now, I'm already an adult who constantly takes good care of the bills and saving up. I never realize that I was already growing and that most of my preferences change. I used to be holding a pen and a paper before but now, it's an alternation between a knife and a spatula. I was an aspiring writer before but in a way, got burn out that turned out into a cook and slash a baker. I can't seem to find the connection between writing and cooking/baking but it is because of it why I'm alreay here in the US. I applied for an internship here and got my J1 visa. How about you guys? What unexpected changes have you experienced just recently?
