I have been wanting to try making one of these rag quilts for some time now. I had some flannel put back in my room. I bought a bag of flannel scraps at the Mennonite sale for $3. I thought it was about time for me to get it all out, start cutting and making.
I had this pale green and the blue striped flannel in big enough pieces to make a nice baby blanket for my oldest daughter who is due in September.
They go together easy, even the trimming without the special scissors they suggest using.
I did learn just why you do the cutting of the edges as you go. The last 3 rows I did without doing that. It made it really hard to cup that edge at the seams.
Now I have 3 more larger pieces of flannel to press and cut before I work on another one this size and then one made with 10 inch squares. This one is made with 7 inch squares.

It was fun and something I've been wanting to try ever since I seen Bobbette making them at sit n' sew.

Are you ever not in the middle or finishing up on a project @marsha32
You seem to get more done than some of us can even think about! Good for you-

No I'm not, and I can't stop starting more before finishing anything either....that is a major problem.

Thank you. The lighting wasn't good for the picture so the true colors don't really show.
