It is disgusting to do that! Absolutely gross! I think its rude, and if you need to blow your nose then go do it away from the dinner table and make sure you clean your hands well. Ick!

thank you for responding! i agree with you as well... you wouldnt pick your nose in front of someone! (well some might lmao!) and i think some might also forget that most tissues are white! what happens when they GET WET!!! OMG... think about it.. and if you dont know what im trying to say in my pleasant as possible roundabout way.. think of what happens in a wet t-shirt contest!

Oh, that's pretty disgusting. I think you should excuse yourself from the table and go blow your nose, sanitize your hands, and then come back. LOL I'm a germaphobe!

I blow my nose when I go out to eat if I have to. I'd rather blow my nose than having snot run down my face! I've seen people with bugars...and I've seen and heard people just snort them back in...which is more disgusting?? I can't help blowing my nose...sometimes I think it's a habit...I may not be sick but I still blow my nose at a table.

I think I put in in my purse! Like I said it could be a habit. I also carry napkins and tissue in my purse...(i get that from my mom!) When we would go to church when i was little my younger sister, younger brother and I had asthma and really bad allergies...so my mom would carry tissue in her purse(it came in handy)....we would always dig in her purse to find something to blow our noses with! But I know...it can be disgusting....i mean i would never put some used tissue on a table for someone else to clean up!

I can definitely see this from your point of view.. and as much as i hate hearing it.. i truly would mind SEEING it running down .. and i do think that would be much worse!.. duely noted.. however on the other hand.. its not too difficult to excuse yourself is it? not trying to be offensive or anything.. but like .. where you put the tissue after? on the table? yuck.. in your purse or pocket? DOUBLE YUCK.. i guess best to drop it on the floor?

I dont have a problem with it. It is a normal bodily function like a fart. When out in public these are things you are going to have to deal with because not everyone has the same views as you do. Do you expect a 2yr old to get up and go into the bathroom with snot running down there face just because you think blowing there nose is grose.
Personally I would rather hear the honk of someone blowing there nose than have them walk by and seeing the snot running down there face.

thank you very much for voicing your opinion! .. as well as bringing up a VERY good point.. there are certain things that i feel are acceptable by children that are not by adults.. this is one of them..(in my opinion!) as well as loud belching, burping, farting, making a mess with food, playing with food, and of course failure to use the bathroom! :)

good point about the hand sanitizer!.. people sometimes i think forget just how thin alot of "pocket pack" tissues can be!.. you should never go from the blow back to the plate without a pitstop!

I agree 500%. I have seen a lot of older men do it at restaurants. It makes me sick. I would never do it, even at home!

I think that is one of the grossest things ever. I hate it when someone blows their nose at the table.

dont mean to offend you.. my apologies.. however this is a difference between a casual wiping of the nose.. and a big honkin blow! if you were having major "nasal drip" wouldnt you excuse yourself for a moment?

It is never all right to blow nose at table. It's not polite for one thing, and who wants to continue eating dinner after someone does that. I would have no appetite.
My husband thinks it's all right to blow his nose when I'm talking to him. I'll be talking about something, whether it's important or not. All of a sudden he grabs a tissue and honks in it. No, 'excuse me a moment', nothing. So then I have to stop talking and repeat what I was saying because, of course he couldn't hear what was said when he was honking.
