Who hates Facebook and other Social media horror stories

One of the posts on here got me wondering again about the dangers of social media. The ease with which our children can open an account on Facebook irrelevant of their ages is scary and needs to be better regulated.
It exposes them to a whole world of danger they are completely unprepared for My children were forbidden to have Facebook accounts as I often do work for these platforms and I am all to aware of how destructive and dangerous they can be.
Interestingly, now as adults they still do not have facebook accounts but use messenger accounts to stay in touch with friends and family.

@responsiveme that's very interesting. Have heard others say the same and it is generally those who I would consider caring and attentive people. You don't want to risk hurting the feelings of anyone so rather avoid the medium completely.

Facebook is a serious mess of disorder.. its not a social site.. NOBODY uses it for its true value and all anyone ever does is complain and moan about there lives and how there not going anywhere but not doing anything about it. also there are too many people that post pictures that are completely unacceptable and you report them and facebook does not do anything about it, yet on the same not if you post something that is decent with nothing wrong, someone will report it and youll end up in facebook jail for awhile.. just a horrible mess with no end. I dont really care about facebook as much as I use too.. just not what Im looking for at all in a networking site
