I stopped doing anything with rabadaba for some time. They changed from needing 100,000 points for $10 to a million points for $10!! You still earn 1 rab when you like or redab someone else's content and the same when someone does so for your content. Takes a ton of 1 points to equal a million-----a million in fact. They added in a live contest. It is based on nomination for each day first. Each person can nominate up to 10 posts per day. No matter what I posted, I couldn't get anything to be good enough to be in the contest. (In all fairness (or not fair), it really is, or was a favortism contest......people voting for the same people daily etc.) One day I decided to come back to rabadaba. I was nominating then noticed that all of the pictures in the live contest were of animals. Going to the messages and into a chat room, I found out that they were focusing only only pets now. Surprise surprise to me, one of the pictures that I submitted that day did go live. When it goes live you earn 10,000 rabs just for that. Then, depending on the amount of redabs and likes you get, that is how it's determined who wins the larger amount of dabs. Top prize each day is a million, or worth $10....then it goes $7, $5, then down to $1. Just a few days after that, rabadaba announced that after May 12 there would be no more paypal and that the live contest would change. They said other options for cashing out would be available at a later time. Well, the live contest changed to pet contest and what they show for cashing out it 1-800-petmeds, petco, mr.. chewy, and petsmart. We do have Pet Co here and, of course, I could for sure use gift cards for food and litter. However, it still says coming soon.....and if the only option for Pet Co is the $50 they show then that will mean I need 5 million rabs to get it! Anyway, I've had several of my images go live, one day I even had 3 in the contest. So far only one has been a runner up, which gained me 100,000 rabs, or worth $1. (The picture was of Amelia on the floor on her rug and one of the cats laying close to her) What I am sharing here is actually a video that I took of a snail in my daughters garden. It was in the running for runner up right up until the end of the contest but then lost out. I am having fun with the app again...always on the look out for the animals to be doing something cute. At least 10,000 for going live is at least a jump towards the 1 million over 1 rab at a time....and some people who don't have pets, but just love rabadaba are being kind and tipping those of us who do have pets.
