Last night, it was past 1 AM and my mind had not registered sleeping at all. I had this feeling that going to sleep was just a waste of time.
I forced myself to sleep afterward even though my mind was not up to it.
This was not the first time that I had that kind of push in me. There are days I don't sleep at all...
Well, when things go nasty... the nastier gets going.
Have you ever felt that sleeping at night is like wasting time?
Let's have a chat.

Now, a useless conversation is something I avoid at all cost. I would rather play a boring game than to sit in a conference with time wasters.
As for sleeping, there comes a time that I feel I don't need one. And it just vanishes away and I don't feel it at all.
Oops! But it is never an everyday's rundown.

Yeah, I know... we have lots of people who go to sleep much early but they stay in bed for an hour or so before falling asleep. And we have those who can only manage a three-hour sleep and spend the rest of the night turning over and over in bed till morning. That is a waste of time for sure.

@waflay I understand. I work 3rd shift and my sleeping schedule is so very messed up.. and when your body gets into the habit of something even if you intend to change it is not used to that.
when only getting 4 hours a sleep at a time - that day you have 8 hours to sleep... you will find you're going to wake up after 4 hours of sleep.. whether you want to or not.. because your body has conditioned itself to do that.

Good for you. I think I blew up my sleeping lifestyle when I used to have so little time and so much to do. I used to sleep for about two hours every night, to compensate on my tight schedule.
I guess, my sleeping pattern was badly damaged that my mind just can't find pieces to put together anymore.

I have never felt like it is a waste of time, but then again I can easily fall asleep. Sleep is a very important thing for the body. You don't know how much you really need it until you stop sleeping.

I understand the consequences perfectly well. There were days I hardly slept for two hours every night, and since I had nothing to do during those long hours... I wished I could change the clock and start anew but nothing happened. I was always a sad, long night.... a real waste of time.

Well, having a healthy sleep make son feel energetic and ready for a day ahead. But it comes a time when you have to accomplish a certain mission in time, but you feel like you don't have much time... That how night time comes in handy... and obviously, you would think about going to sleep when you have done lots.

@topffer does your brain actually sleep? well, I don't know, call me crazy but if your brain actually sleeps, could you explain how you dream, how your diaphragm contracts and relaxes, and how your heart beats, since those are controlled by the brain.

Sleep is as important as our other needs.
Just think if we don't sleep, that night we will miss our good dreams. As i experienced, if we think of anything for whole day, we see that things in dreams and got the way to solve the problems easily.
Sometimes we may have to face some horror dreams if we are in stress.lol
But that's different. Simply said proper sleep daily is necessary for long life.It will never be the waste of time.
