I always have a second mind when it comes to joining a gym. I feel that once one stop going to the gym, the lost weight comes back with a bounce. Many people say it's not true. I am trying to loose some extra pounds, from a long time now. I workout on my own, simple cardio but my scale seem to stuck on a point . Is joining a gym advisable? I don't want any packs...just simple weight loss.

I have a simple formula which I have found very effective in losing weight quickly. I drink two glasses of water 10 mins before every meal which automatically reduces my intake and in between meals I drink a glass of water. I walk around the house while speaking on the phone and the same at my work spot which although is rare. I walk for 30 mins every day . The only investment I have made are on three things. A good pair of walking shoes, weighing scales and a pedometer. The last two are more than enough to spur you on when you weigh yourself each day and also see the number of steps taken and calories burnt each day ..I have been losing a little weight each week at a steady pace which is good enough for me because I dont want a drastic weight reduction !

@shaynas Buy a pedometer and clip it on all the time from the time you wake up to bed time , so you know how many steps you have walked and calories you have burnt, it really helps. If you can cover 6000 - 7000 steps although the recommended number is 10,000 , it really helps you .

If it was for me I would choose the gym. I won't be able to exercise at home. I feel lazy

Do both. A lot of people think that working out is the most important and best way to lose weight but really it is the diet. It is 80/20 kind of thing. A healthy balanced diet will help you lose more weight than just working out will. It is important but change your diet and you'll see a big change.

I think ,going for walk....really helps in weight loss.... Then follow diet plans strictly..... Avoid junk foods... Eat healthy food.....fruits, veggies, drink fresh juices.... Climbing stairs also helps a lot in weight loss.... You need not climb stairs as exercise.... but whenever you are in need to use lift...avoid lift and use stairs....it has helped me a lot.... Hope these things will help you.....
