I feel like everything is going wrong..

Thankfully it's nothing extreme.. just a whole lot of little things piling up. I was already feeling a bit down in the first place.. I've been fairly busy without enough time for myself. My kids are moodier than usual.. I have teenage twins and they have more bad days than good, especially my 14 year old daughter who seems to no longer want to speak to me for no reason what so ever besides the fact that she's 14 and hates me, and she thinks I hate her because I yell at her and make her do things she doesn't want to do, such as laundry and dishes.. My house continues to fall apart. We've been wanting desperately to make some improvements, but we're unable to do so because we're fighting too hard just to keep it up at the moment. Our septic is full and needs attention and that's not cheap. My bathroom mirror fell off the wall the other day, I spent $400 on that a couple years ago.. and it's shattered and useless. Tuesday I had to get ready for work with no mirror, and the bathroom light bulbs had all blown and I didn't have any on hand.. Work's been frustrating as usual.. Hubby lost his paycheck from his 2nd job.. we think one of the kids accidentally threw it in the trash. I went through the trash we have in the house and couldn't find it, it probably ended up in the bag that was picked up Tuesday.. we didn't know it was missing until Tuesday afternoon.. Then my plans for this weekend had to go get all mucked up.. My 14 year old son has to go downtown Friday night and Saturday afternoon (he's in an awards show on Sunday, he's nominated for an award, and he's performing!). They're having a huge food festival downtown this weekend.. and hubby usually works downtown for his second job.. so I was hoping that Friday night since I have to be down there anyway, hubby could meet us and we could check out the food festival.. but turns out hubby has to work elsewhere on Friday and can't go downtown. Saturday my youngest has a baseball game, so we won't have time for downtown on Saturday night unless I make him skip baseball (and I'm really ticked the game was rescheduled for 6pm on a Saturday.. that ruins just about any sort of plans a person could make!).. Hubby works before and after the game.. so our time is limited to about an hour after the game before hubby's 2nd job.. Sorry for the rant and negativity.. I try so hard not to complain too much, but I've been feeling so down in the dumps lately, and all this little stuff starts happening.. granted it's minor in the grand scheme of things, but it adds up and wears you down! What's been happening in your world? Anything good, bad or otherwise?

So sorry to hear that things aren't going good for you lately. Oh i remember the days of living with teenagers and how moody they can be. I hope things start improving for you soon. All the little things add up and it is hard to stay positive.

I'm sure things will get better when schedules calm down and I have more time for myself!

I know the "piling up" feeling . . . hang in there . . . as they say this too shall pass!! School ends next week for us, but it's sure a long road to get to that very last day. Too much going on with schedules and things that need to get done. On top of that, Hubby threw out his back - he stayed home today and probably will tomorrow too. But we know we will get through this, right? We've done it before and we'll do it again and again. Just gotta persevere for now . . . our time to enjoy and breathe will come!

I am always in favor of "letting it out" rather than keeping it inside. So it's fine. I'm just sorry these little things are happening all at once. Things are going along normally for my mom and I here at home. Don't like having my dad in a nursing home, but it couldn't be avoided any longer. It's been a year now so it is part of the routine, and it's close by. I sure hope your hubby can get another check issued, it's terrible to lose money like that! Hope things get less chaotic around your house soon.

I'm so sorry you've been having a bad week. Everything seems to be happening at once to you, but this too shall pass. I'm sure your husband's boss can cut him another check when he sees that this one didn't clear. Do you have anyone who can help you out by carpooling, etc? Good luck next weekend figuring out where to go first!!! Giant hugs to you!

No we cannot carpool.. my son is the only one going down for the awards, so nobody to take him. For the birthday party in the city they offered a ride but as I have to pick my little guy up from his church play rehearsals I figured it's best I bring him myself. We don't know anyone on his team well enough to ask for rides to that but that's close by. It's not so much the driving around that I mind, it's just that I don't have the time to do the things I want to do because of the scheduling..
