Hard work or Smart work - Which is important?

I think both are important.Now a days we want to find success in a limited time and it is true that smart work saves our time and energy but hard work is also too much important for example Arunima Sinha got victory at Everest due to her hard work ,Sachin Tendulkar "god of cricket" is also today at this position due to his hard work,p.m.modi prime minister of india taking country on the path of progress due to hard work smartly so according to my point of view we should do hard work smartly to become successful .
