"This is for Allah!"

I've been watching this terrible news in London since it happened. But just watching it now I heard a witness say he heard one of these terrorists, A.K.A pieces of crap yell out "This is for Allah!" while stabbing people.
As much as this attack has made me sad and angry, hearing "This is for Allah" has made me feel more rage. How can anyone in their right mind think that killing others for the sake of their God is ok.
Maybe that's where I am getting the confusion. That they are not in their right mind. These types of people are just messed up. It's not even a matter of IF it happens anymore. It's a matter of WHEN.
I'm open minded when it comes to all religions but I struggle to comprehend those who bring harming and killing others into it all. I am not saying that Allah isn't a peaceful God. I am saying that people can often accidentally or purposely take religions out of context to do what they want to do because THEY think it's right and will be rewarded.
No religion is peaceful to me when people act out what they think their God would want to better the Earth.

@LadyDuck People can really ruin religion. They either take things out of context or they tweak something about it. I would rather learn a religion on my very own without someone in my ear about what any "God wants." Because usually I hear what the person wants instead. And so far most of the things that come out of people's mouths are horrific and dark. They are the ones who scare me away from religion.
And yeah like you said, people kill for their God. I'm truly concerned that someone can be ok with killing because they believe that they will be in the good books. It's selfish.

@VivaLaDani13 I think that the religion and God is an excuse to justify their crimes. They pretend that it is in the name of God or the Religion, but it is only their greediness.

@jaboUK Exactly! I can't believe how far they will go with trying to kill others. Like strapping bombs to their own children to do the dirty work. Sickening.

It's always struck me as curious why these people, if they think their god is so great and their interpretation of the Koran is so correct, don't hold intellectual conversations, or start some "PTL"-style cable channel where they can pontificate like Jerry Falwell, Jim Bakker, and the like did with fundamentalist Christianity.
Of course, we all know the answer: they just want to kill, and what better excuse than a "holy war"?

@FourWalls Yeah that really seems to be their way of getting their point across as of late. To kill others. I don't see them changing their strategy any time soon unfortunately. Surprise attacks seems to be their way. Bloody awful and scary.
I'm not religious but like I said I have an open mind but I can agree with what you said about this being a holy war. Seems to be what's going on.

@Mike197602 Man you were the very first person I thought of when I heard about this. I actually came on here to see if you were active and you were so I relaxed a bit. But for the people who were victims....I feel really bad. And I already feel awful for the victims to come. This won't stop. I'm not going to be positive and say it won't because I already know it will.

@VivaLaDani13 I'm still here
What's weird (not so weird actually considering the city) is that there was only one UK victim.
All the others were from various countries including Australia.
These people don't care who they kill or where they come from.

If every people will kill for their gods, would will happen to our world? Some people think they are only the believers who can do terrorism and yell like that.

@ilocosboy I don't think everyone who does something evil is religious. It's the people and their minds that think it's ok but for some reason some of them drag religion into it.
Anyone, religious or not can bring harm to this world.

I swear this people are only do this things to make troubles bettween the religions and countries, religions got nothing about killig people especially the innocents, kids... they are criminals not muslmans. I say this things cause i'm muslam, even ALLAH said don't be criminal with people from other religion, treat them very well , being bad with them has no point. I hate those people who say that i kill others for ALLAH, it's not for allah sir it's for your bad thinking, and you will go to hell for that.

I resonate with your angst.
The basic step towards spirituality and inner peace is not to hurt another even by thought.
Humans have to conquer hatred, ego, and selfishness
Any trace of hatred in our thoughts and actions is anathema to religious path.
These actions clearly show the perpetrators are big time losers and cannot accept others enjoying their own lives.
If we love our creator we will accept all as our own, even fellow travelers in the form of other species.
I believe we are divinely blessed to be here and it is up to us to realize and show gratefulness for the blessings - siva

In a country like India where our soldiers are killed everyday on the border of India and Pakistan. Trust me this debate on religions is an everyday task. It is so agitating, and not sometimes, always. Riot is an everyday story "in the name of Allah", i must say. Education, i believe, is very important because throughout the KURAN(the religious textbook of islam), there is no evil or blood. It is them (the uneducated leaders) who are wicked.

@maan20 I really liked this response thank you. It also has me thinking a lot about what I've been thinking for a long time.
I only know English so for me to even try to read the Kuran ( by the way I thought it was spelt Quran. Is there 2 spellings? ) would be a hard task. I have heard a lot of people say that it can't be translated. So I'm having a very hard time trying to learn about the Kuran. I would love to read it to understand it more. Same with the Bible. I'd like to read that one day.
So are you telling me that the Kuran IS a peaceful religion and this delusional, cold blooded numbskulls are just pretty much making an evil religion on their own? Why would they say it's for Allah if the Kuran is not all about evil and blood. I am so confused. Are they all brainwashed with this and not looking into the real religion themselves? That's really disturbing.
