I made $80 today without doing anything!

Yes, I was handed 4, $20 bills by a total stranger! How's that for easy money? No, I was not standing on a street corner, I was in my garage and my husband was a witness. This is a clean story - or a cleaning story...
So where did the $80 come from? I had listed our Shark vacuum cleaner on a few Facebook Yard Sale Groups and only had one hit on the vac before yesterday and that person wanted it for almost free.
Last night about 9:00 pm a woman sent me a private message on FB asking if it was still available. After a few questions and answers back and forth she told me her mom and dad would be coming for it Sunday at 1:00 pm. I assumed they were picking it up for the woman I was chatting with. She asked what the bottom line was and I quoted $80 which was $10 less than asking price.
It turned out the couple was here around 12:30 pm and they were buying it for themselves because their daughter has one and raved about it.
So they have a new vacuum cleaner and we have an extra $80 clear profit!

@AbbyGreenhill It was not trash, but it was for you. I also have a robot mower that is not at all trash, but it's trash for me, because he does not work on my non flat lawn.

@LadyDuck More like an unneeded item. we upgraded. Robot mower? We have a robot vac for the pool, but I've never heard of a robot mower.

The vac wasn't trash LOL - many years ago I had a yard sale after my first husband and I split. Everything was in the driveway in front of the garage and a woman spotted an old tackle box in the garage - it was rusted and had no bottom. She wanted to buy it, I told her it was no good but she wanted it so I told her $1.

That's awesome! Easy money right there. Wonder if they'd have bought it for more than $80.

@Essjayd My goodness. That's enough to not want to do it again. I have had people say they want it and never get back to me, but that isn't such a big deal.
