It’s June 6th: Have You Flipped Your Calendar Yet?

We have two calendars hanging up in the house. One is in the spare bedroom where my mother-in-law stays when we bring her down for a visit. The other one is on the refrigerator in the kitchen. It’s the one in the kitchen that is usually a month behind. It’s a pocket calendar and that’s where we put papers that need to be dealt with. There is also a paperclip holding appointment cards clipped to the side. It only takes a minute to transfer the papers from one pocket to the next, and move the appointment cards, but it rarely gets done in a timely manner. It’s June 6th today. As we have a lot going on this month, I figured letting it go until the middle of the month wouldn’t be wise. I rarely let it go a whole month but I’ve yet to flip it on the first. Maybe next month… Have you flipped your calendar yet?

I'm usually the one to forget as well. I flipped it this morning, but I usually wait until my husband does it.

@BettyB I rely heavily on both my phone and the computer for my daily calendar

I'm not ready to give up the calendar, but I keep my appointment on the calendar on my phone. I'm less likely to miss one that way.

My husband is a calendar flipper, so I don't have to worry about this. He is always on time.

Yes, I flipped the calender, the most I let it slide is about a week @BettyB , otherwise I ask my sister, otherwise days get away from me.

Now that I'm retired I get my days mixed up some, but I have enough stuff scheduled that I can't totally lose track of time. I would hate to show up for church on Friday instead of Sunday.

I got a calendar not long ago, but it's still in the wrap. I don't even know where to hang it. I don't think I ever flipped the calendar on the first.

We don't have wall space for the calendar so it hangs on the front of the frig. Wit my doctor appointments, my husband's and my mother-in-law's, we need the calendar.

@BettyB If it works, that's what is important.

Yes, we flip the calendar on the morning of the first every month. I tried to do it the night before a few times but by superstitious husband begged me not to do it. So now I do it in the morning.

@BettyB Well it probably helps that one of us used to work different hours each week, and we have always had a lot of birthdays and whatnot on the calendar.

That's a good routine. I don't know why we are not good about it.

I always do, because I write the appointments on the calendar, that hangs behind the kitchen door. I cannot miss them, because I look at the calendar every morning while I make my coffee.

I've never left mine that long. If I don't flip it my husband finally does. It's usually done by the middle of the month.

I totally live by the large wall calendar in my kitchen. It reminds me of appointments, birthdays, and anything else I don't want to forget.

I have a lot of stuff written on the calendar, but sometimes I just life the top page and take a peek rather than empty the pocket and flip the page. I know that laziness, but I'm guilty.

We keep ours in the desk drawer in our kitchen and flip it the first day of the new month.

I would like to keep ours in a drawer, but its easier to keep track of appointments if its on the frig. Nothing is more frustrating than missing an appointment that had to be made months in advance.

I have all of my activities and internship responsibilities wrote down on my calendar and important dates for college already written down months in advance so I always turn it when the month changes so I can keep up with all the activities.

I always flip my calendar (which is in the kitchen) very early. My mother fussing at me when I do. I had to tell her to flip hers on June 1.

It's best to do it on the first of the month. One of these months I'll actually do that.
