Is Sachin Tendulkar the best batsman in the world or is he over rated just because of his stats?

As an Indian and also being a cricket fan, I do appreciate Tendulkar's records and his achievements in the cricket world. But he is also applauded as the best batsman in the world. According to me , a batsman should be analyzed with his style and perfection of shots and his ability to play in different soils in order to call him as the best in the world. Grant flower may play a better cover drive than sachin , Pollard would have a better back foot hook when compared with sachin. Hence I leave this to u guys to say ur opinions regarding this universal claim of sachin being the best in the world.
