I'm Hurting

Yesterday was a very busy day. My older son who is homeless and living in a trailer at the fairgrounds, just found out he needs surgery. He was in the emergency room on Saturday and called about the follow-up on Monday. Instead of him going to the doctor, they just scheduled the surgery. So now he's also unemployed until after the surgery, which is the 15th. As he works temp jobs, that means he has no income. I've been doing some praying big time for him.
Yesterday, I called him and asked how he would like me to give him a full tank of gas and get him a bit of groceries to get him through for a few days. He was happy with that.
When I got to his trailer I found his truck also needs a lot of work so offered to help him with that as well. That's when my trouble started.
After getting him gas, he helped boost me into his truck and pressed just a little harder than expected on my ribs and now I have a bruised rib. He's real sorry about that. It was an accident. One I'm feeling big time at the moment. It hurts to breathe and move more than a little bit.
With all I did yesterday, my knees were rebelling and painful. So I didn't go to the pool this morning. It might be a couple days until I get back there.
So I'm hurting and taking it easy as much as possible. Right now I'm on my way out the door for my hair appointment. I need to leave now as the main road getting there is torn up with construction. So I need to take the long way to get there.
I have all the notifications done for now. I'll check in when I get back.

He is. He's getting the truck fixed today. I also had someone tell me they have some scrap for him. That will help. I just need to let the person know he is interested and will pick it up today.
Yes, it's never a gentle rain when things happen, it's always a downpour.

Oh my. That sounds painful. I hope it's just a bruise and nothing more to it.

I am so sorry. You have a lot on your plate, and so does your son. It is difficult. I hope you are feeling better. Maybe your son could get some help from the state. It is there for people who truly need it. It sounds like he really does. I will be praying for both of you.

It might, but I have a snug suit and getting it on would hurt my rib. So I'm waiting until I can get it on with ease.

Thank you. His surgery is tomorrow. Most of the time I don't feel my rib, only when I move wrong, which is good.
