Saving for my insurance deductible

I have to save up 2,000.00 dollars to have just in case we get our roof blown off in a storm.
Or if a tree falls on the roof or a car hits our house on the way to the beer store.
Or if a tornado picks up the house and plants it a mile down the road. But I think there are zoning ordinances against this.
The fact is, I need to save big time. I mean, two thousand dollars is more than I have had in the bank since my last inheritance.
Meantime I guess I will be eating more tomato soup and drinking tap water to save up for it.
They can't just pay for the damage. It's not enough to pay every month the basic premium for home owner's insurance. You have to have that two thousand dollar deductible.
Enough about that, now I need to see what's cooking here at myLot this afternoon.
Hey Mr. D, can you spare a few million to help me with my de-duck-table? No, I am not serious. But it would be nice to get a few million.

@lookatdesktop LOL I guess that is how they get people though you pay the money for it and then when you need it you do not have the deductible so they do not have to pay for it I am sure that you have to have it done within a time limit of the accident happening.

The deductible is what it is. You are lucky to have it at half what we do.

@lookatdesktop considering that we have filed for Hurricane Sandy damage ($18,000 worth of damage) and a car accident in the past 4 years, we are fine with it. Our payments haven't gone up at all either though they are high to begin with. We are the most densely populated state in the nation so car insurance issues don't work well in our favor.
