He's my next door neighbor now and it's so awkward

June 9, 2017 4:01pm CST
So a few months ago, I was hit on by this guy at the bus stop in front of my apartment complex and the guy was a foreigner so it took me a minute to actually get what he was talking about. He basically asked me to "try him" and when I rejected him he told me that he'd "treat me nice". I then told him to leave me alone basically and he did. But just recently, I noticed that the new family that lives in the apartment right across from mine is headed by that guy. HE'S A FATHER. He has three kids and a wife! And you know, I don't really pay attention to my neighbors because most of them don't care for my family and I due to reasons I will talk about later. But anyway, I noticed the guy because for awhile whenever we happened to pass each other in the stairwell or by the mail boxes, he would just stare at me. Like just, unblinkingly stare at me and then it hit me! He's staring at me because he hit on me and I now see his wife on a daily basis! Hopefully he never says anything to me because I honestly don't know what I would say back. But just...Ugh, you know? It's just creepy to me.

Be so careful my friend. Don't turn your back on him, keep him where you can see him..

Avoid him the best you can. Not good about him attempting to cheat on his wife.

That's creepy. Try not to watch too many of those real true story TV detective shows because you might start getting paranoid.

I would have to tell him " nice family you got there" and walk away.

Whatever you do, do not let him know that he's affecting you, and don't let him think that you are intimidated by him, and if he makes any move out of line, be sure to act quickly and confidently, report him to the police if you have to, or even confront him in front of his wife, show him that you mean business, and you will do what it takes to get him in trouble ! This is how you have to deal with these type of people, (same as dealing with a bully) !

@GrayCats , that is pretty darn creepy that he stares at you like that! Be careful. I do not understand men who have a family but would try to mess around.

Will do! And yes, it's like, you have these loving people around you but you're still not happy?

I hope that this guy is not trying to follow you by moving in next door to you. He is a dog for trying to do that to his wife and kids. Who knows how many times he has done that though.

I actually never thought of that but I hope he isn't either. And yeah, I feel bad for his family having to deal with a dad/husband with a wandering eye.

@GrayCats It is just sad to even think of that but many guys do that even women do it. To bad you do not have proof to show to his wife even though it would hurt her it would help her in the long run.

Maybe he's worried that you might tell his wife.

@GrayCats that's so arrogant, he should never do that

I assume he meant that I should give dating him a try. Or something more explicit.

Irony at its finest hour. He said he'd be good to you? He's not even being good to his own wife! I despise men like that, no moral code whatsoever. I hope that things get better for you, and I hope that he moves out soon. Be on the alert, and keep your doors locked at ALL times. You never know what people can do. Stay safe.

I will be sure to do that and I've told my mom and brother about the 'event' and pointed him out, so they're on alert as well. Thanks!
