Day Three No Rain - Take A Break

I mowed for a little over an hour before I ran out of gas.
I washed a load of sheets while mowing and I just hung those out to dry, As hot as it is I bet they are already dried.
I thought I would rest and have a late lunch of crab salad before I take off to get more gas.
I am thinking of getting the back yard and the rest of the area around the garden mowed before I give it up for the day. I have not gotten bit one time by a mosquito so I reckon the city did come by and blast the area with poison fog.
This picture is my pitiful garden this year, I so want built up beds but Tony insists on this long field plowing way, Mine would be pretty, magazine pretty with small creek gravel in between each built up box
How is your day going?

@andriaperry That Is a good thing glad you got plenty of rest. I feel like all I do is sleep for like the last month or so. But lets hope that all changes once I have my baby.

Yes the pretty 6 x 4 feet boxes, painted brick red, no grass around them at all! river gravel or pea gravel small and smooth.

@andriaperry I get just enough for us to use up and give away to family. I am afraid to try canning. Just as well because I don't really have anywhere to store jar of stuff anyway.

@andriaperry I love the idea of using a bed frame for cucumbers to climb. I'm being a tad silly this year. I planted butternut squash in a square rolling cart on our wooden deck. That squash is growing nicely. Guess I'm going to be stringing squash vines onto the deck frame if they keep growing. I should take a photo of the bed frame cause its just a single thing- like the top or bottom of a bed. Kind of Victorian looking. Not bed springs, though.
