Mega jobs fair was held today in our city. That opened more than 2,000 jobs for thousands of jobseekers in our province.
More than 70 local employers and 30 recruiters for abroad participated in the jobs fair held in fully airconditioned civic center.
The regional director of Labor agency said in his soeech that jobseekers of today are luckier because there are jobs fair being held in every province.
Aside from employment there is also seminars and training for business, skills training from TESDA and many agencies to help the the people.
Some applicants are luckier when they had on the spot employment.

@ilocosboy job mismatch is a more common problem than unemployment me thinks. Depending on what is the 'hot' job at the moment, we churn graduates out more than the available job in the industry. Remember the glut in nurses and caregivers? Right now, it is call center/BPO agents and IT grads that are coming into the workforce with less jobs available to them.

@allen0187 one of the reason of job mismatch because sometimes parents don't guide their children in choosing right courses for them. When nursing and HRM were so popular, most of the students want to enroll in that courses not analysing when they graduate there will be lots of them, over the number needed for the jobs.

Not all but they have options. Some of them brought more than 10 application letters and submit to as many as employers in that time.

I like job fairs, as several of my friends did get their job because they went to a Job Fair. A chance to become employed that day is great, as it means money to pay the bills.

That's right, failure is part of the success. We encounter this trials for us to go on. Never stop just because of some petty thing called failure.
