Am I the only one who helps people by giving loan to them but don't know how to ask it back ?
I really don't know what to say because they are my friends, I don't want to ruin our friendship by asking my money back. It feels so awkward to ask my own money back.
When I don't say, they don't bother to give me on deadline. One friend has my money since December 2016, she told me to give it back to me within 1-2 months but she keeps on postponing it for several reasons but her reasons was justified so I didn't said anything.
Another friend has taken it since 25 days and has postponed over 2 deadlines.
Few more friends have taken it when they were having emergency but they have forgotten it and I never asked it back because it was not much big amount. Though it was a small but it was enough to buy a burger from McD. They must feel bad for having someone's money and then forget it. I don't understand how they even forget it ?
Here I am, mostly I never ask anyone for any money but when I ask, I return it before the deadline because as soon as i take their money, I feel bad so I try to return it as soon as possible but on the other hand, these people !
Even I have to remind them for it.
I am sick of these types of people.

@_ge_ez_ I know that
feeling...I don't mind the ones
who will loan me if I'm stuck but
these days they're the only people
I will lend cash to.
I have a so called friend who owes
me £900 it's slowly turning up in
small amounts. If they were broke
I could accept it but they've managed
to go on holiday twice while I'm too
broke to afford a holiday.

Yes, money can ruin the friendship. Once you given then they forget to pay back, you can't do anything. If you keep on asking then you will be bad person for them. No matter you helped in past and asking that money alone. This is the world. But you can take precaution in future, by denying help.

That is not good, perhaps they know you don't pressure for a refund so they can take advantage of it.

Yes and now I'm.beciming bad for them whether they like it or not because what's right is more important to me. So if they like it hard way then I must chose that way.
To me friendship is one thing and dealing with business like this is another.

I've learned something from not being tight in lending out money for someone. My friend borrowed money from me, I've actually asked for it but she constantly says she too is having some financial issues. Well, I just tried to stretch up my understanding and learned something from it.

@_ge_ez_ That's the particular lesson I've learned: Not to reveal if I have money or not.

Its your hard earned money.
Ask them without any hesitation. Its your right to ask.
If you like helping people so much, donate your money to trustworthy organisations. They are in dire need of money.
On a lighter note, Neither a borrower nor a lender be :)
